Description:
This fine old revolver first shipped from Colt’s Sept. 13, 1878 as a 7 ½” barrel Cavalry model, it may have seen service in the “ Indian Wars”. The government inspector, Henry Netteltons inspection mark (H.N.) can be seen stamped over the serial number (47679) on the frame. At the beginning of the Spanish American War in 1898 it was refurbished at Springfield Armory with a 5 ½” barrel. The .45 had been found to be more effective than the .38 in use. In 1901 it went back to Colt’s to be refurbished again resulting in mixed parts, new finish and grips.
The Kopec letter goes into elaborate detail and complements a very nice Artillery Revolver.
It’s current condition reflects upon the care it has received over the years. The action still passes the spelling test: C – O – L – T, and locks up tight. The bore is Exc. With only the slightest frosting in the grooves. It remains a very presentable Artillery with significant amounts of blue present and the grips are in Exc. Condition.
The revolver is presented in newly crafted case with lock and key. A brass cleaning rod is included.

It is easy to describe a NEW gun with pictures. Two blurry, poorly lit photos along with the description would suffice. Antique and Collectable firearms are rarely “new” condition. I make every effort to show the flaws in clear detail so that there are no “surprises”.
Remember that a beautiful woman in a dark room at 10-foot distance may look different close up in the sunlight with scars, wrinkles, and warts.

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged. If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made. Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded. All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
PAYMENT:
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 4% processing fee.
LAYAWAYS:
A 20% deposit is required. Balance is due in 30 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 40 days. Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX:
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyer’s responsibility.
