Description:
The Ruger Super Blackhawk is designed specifically to handle the chamber pressures and recoil of the .44 magnum. This one is one of only 600 made. Ruger records show that this revolver was shipped September 1966 with a 6.5 inch barrel. Ruger never intended to make a 6.4 inch Super Blackhawk, and it is believed that about 600 barrels were accidentally manufactured. Rather than throw them out, Ruger install them on guns. It comes with a letter from Ruger. .44 Magnum
