Description:
The Zastava ZPAP M72 RPK is a semi-automatic "sporter" version of the iconic Yugoslavian light machine gun,chambered in 7.62x39mm. Unlike standard AK rifles, it is built on a heavy-duty 1.5mm bulged trunnion receiver with a long, finned barrel designed for superior heat dissipation. Key Features and Specifications The rifle's design is heavily influenced by its military origins as a squad automatic weapon. Barrel: A 21-inch, cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined heavy barrel. It features distinctive cooling fins behind the gas block and is threaded with a slant brake. Support & Sights: Includes a factory-mounted detachable bipod. The iron sights are RPK-style, with a windage-adjustable rear tangent sight graduated to 1,000 meters. Furniture: Typically outfitted with Serbian Red hardwood or walnut furniture. The stock and grip are specific to the M72 pattern and are not compatible with standard AK furniture. Modern Additions: Includes a left-side optic rail for mounting scopes and a safety selector with a bolt hold-open notch.
