Description:
This S.M.L.E MK III known as the 'three-O-three' was the first weapon produced at the Lithgow Small Arms Factory. Approved in January 1907, this short rifle superseded the Long Lee-Enfield and featured a number of improvements over previous Marks in respect to simplified manufacture and battle efficiency. It features a 10 round magazine designed to be fed by 5 round stripper clips. The bolt is in great working order with tension still in the spring made for faster shooting. The perfect rifle for anyone interested in starting in military surplus collecting. .303 British
