Description:
Winchester Model 94 Carbine (Pre-AE / No Crossbolt) - .30-30 Win - Used; Mechanically Excellent, Cosmetically Fair - 1968
Winchester Model 94 Carbine – Pre-AE Traditional Lever Action – Mechanically Excellent
For sale is a Winchester Model 94 Carbine (Standard) lever-action rifle, chambered in the legendary .30-30 Winchester. Manufactured in 1968 (Post-64 production, pre-Angle Eject), this rifle is mechanically excellent and cosmetically fair. It represents the classic, no-frills working carbine that became America's favorite deer rifle. This is not an AE model and has no crossbolt safety.
This standard Model 94 Carbine features a 20-inch round blued barrel and a full-length tube magazine (6-round capacity). The receiver is blued and plain, with no engraving or embellishments. The plain walnut straight-grip stock has no checkering and is in great condition. The forearm is plain with a single barrel band. The buttplate is the traditional carbine-style (shotgun-type), and the finger lever is plain. The overall length is 37.75 inches. This rifle predates the crossbolt safety and the Angle Eject redesign, offering the classic pre-AE lever-action experience.
Condition Notes: Mechanically, this 1968 carbine is excellent—the lever action cycles smoothly, the trigger is crisp, and the rifle functions perfectly. The stock is in great condition with minimal handling marks. Cosmetically, the rifle is fair: the blued finish on the barrel and magazine tube is fading, showing honest wear and patina consistent with a well-used field rifle of its age. The bore is clean with good rifling.
