The Smith & Wesson Model 63, historically known as the .22/32 Kit Gun, is a compact, stainless steel J-frame revolver chambered in .22 Long Rifle. While currently produced by Smith & Wesson primarily with a 3-inch barrel, this 4-inch barrel version is a classic configuration highly sought after by hikers, campers, and collectors for its balance of portability and sight radius. The 4-inch Model 63 is an all steel rimfire revolver designed for durability and "kit bag" convenience. Part of a lineage of "Kit Guns" designed since the 1930s to be small enough for a tackle box or pack while remaining accurate enough for small game hunting and pest control.
