"Serial no. RE1756. Manufactured in 1932 by Oviedo Arsenal, chambered in 7mm,22"" round barrel. The bore is good showing some oxidation in the grooves while the rifling remains strong and well-defined. Serial numbers are non-matching. The barrel and receiver exhibit scattered surface oxidation consistent with service use and age. The Spanish Model 1916 is a shortened Mauser-pattern rifle derived from earlier long rifles, widely used by Spanish forces through the early 20th century and into the Spanish Civil War period. The stock is good, showing light handling impressions. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
