The Weatherby Vanguard in .243 Winchester with a 24" barrel is a highly versatile bolt-action rifle, known for delivering magnum-level performance in a standard caliber. While many .243 rifles use a 20" or 22" barrel, Weatherby's 24" configuration found in the Vanguard Sporter model is designed to maximize the velocity and long range accuracy of this flat shooting cartridge. Features a Monte Carlo design with a raised comb for better eye-to-scope alignment. The Sporter appeals to traditionalists with a satin-finished American walnut stock and a rosewood forend cap. .243 Winchester
