The Browning Auto-5 (classic) and the modern Browning A5 represent two different eras of the iconic "humpback" 12-gauge shotgun, both featuring a 28" barrel but utilizing entirely different mechanical systems. The original Auto-5, designed by John Browning, was the first successful semi-automatic shotgun.
