Description:
This Arisaka Type 99 "Last Ditch" bolt-action rifle is chambered in 7.7 Japanese and represents a late-war production example of Japan's WWII service rifle. As expected from "last ditch" variants, this rifle exhibits the simplified machining and utilitarian finish characteristic of end-of-war manufacture. The rifle is in overall fair condition, showing moderate wear and handling marks throughout. The metal surfaces display visible finish wear, thinning, and scattered marks consistent with age and use. The stock also shows typical dings, dents, and handling impressions but remains structurally sound. Notably, the rifle retains an intact Imperial "mum" (chrysanthemum) emblem crisply stamped on the receiver—an increasingly scarce and desirable feature for collectors. 7.7 Japanese
