Description:
This Model 94 was issued in 1969 to commemorate the meeting of the two railroads, The Central Pacific and The Union Pacific, at Promontory Peak in Utah, forming a continental wide link of the United States. This project was begun in the middle of The Civil War, in 1863 and the rail line completed symbolically in 1869 with the driving of a golden spike at Promontory Peak. The railroad contributed significantly to the growth of the USA by decreasing travel time across the continent. This rifle carries motifs and gold-colored furniture to commemorate the event. .30-30 Winchester
