This is a classic American-made, break-action single-shot from the early production years of the Model 58 platform. This particular example is in excellent condition, with very clean wood, strong finish, and metal that presents extremely well with minimal signs of handling. The barrel features a fixed Modified choke, offering excellent versatility for upland hunting, small game, and general field use without being overly restrictive. Action locks up tight and functions exactly as it should. These early H&R guns are known for their durability, simplicity, and no-nonsense performance, and finding one in this level of condition is becoming less common. Built prior to the widespread use of steel shot, so lead or appropriate alternatives are recommended.
