"Serial no. 323011. Manufactured in 1907, chambered in 7.5x55 Swiss,30 ¾"" round barrel. The bore is excellent with sharp, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are matching with the exception of the stock, which is marked “101401" just forward of the buttplate. The pistol grip has been arsenal repaired, a common Swiss maintenance practice. The left side of the receiver is marked with a “P," indicating the rifle was released for private civilian ownership after military service, a distinctive feature of Swiss service arms. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
