Excellent Antique W.W. Greener 10 GA Engraved Hammer Shotgun C. 1883
Offered here for sale and just acquired is this beautiful antique W.W. Greener 10 GA Hammer Shotgun. SN 22343 it was manufactured circa 1883. All original it has 30”damascus bbls with each engraved with a band of stylized foliage at the breech end. The concave rib has a large bead front sight, and is signed “W.W. GREENER. 68 HAYMARKET LONDON.” Bright casehardened action has carved percussion fences. Top lever. The water table is stamped with “PATENT TREBLE No. 3084”. The casehardened rebounding sidelocks have sculpted hammers. Profusely scroll engraved throughout. The barrels are struck w/ `Birmingham “Not For Ball” black powder proof marks. Greener “Elephant” trademarks and “WWG”. The figured pistol grip stock has a hard rubber recoil pad, checkered grip and forearm. Finely figured walnut. Light wear. Damascus still prominent. 14” LOP. Mechanically excellent….A fine early antique duck gun from the 19th century which we seldom see in 10 Gauge.3750
