Springfield Armory M1A semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62x51/.308 Winchester, pre-ban production with bayonet-lug flash suppressor and period accessories. This early-serial M1A retains the classic M14-style configuration with lugged flash suppressor, traditional military-pattern stock, and detachable box magazine, and is equipped with a Burris ART IV scope on an M1A scope mount for a ready-to-shoot precision/range setup. The rear sight features a hooded aperture and an elevation drum calibrated in meters, offering a refined sight picture and precise elevation adjustments while preserving full iron-sight capability under the optic. Overall condition is excellent for its age, showing light handling and honest finish wear from careful use and storage but no signs of abuse, sporterizing, or home gunsmithing. The specific combination of features suggests it may or may not be a factory National Match rifle; it has some match-type characteristics, but this has not been confirmed with Springfield Armory or by detailed inspection of bedding and barrel markings and should not be assumed.
