THIS RIFLE IS ONE OF MY PERSONAL FAVORITES FROM MY COLLECTION, . This 1987 Remington 700 BDL Varmint Special is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6mm Remington. This model features a 24-inch heavy barrel designed for precision shooting and stability during extended firing sessions. The rifle was manufactured in 1987 DATE CODE AH and built on the classic 700 action known for its dual-lug bolt and rear safety configuration. The BDL variant includes the distinctive high-gloss finish and RARER TYPE DELUXE SKIPLINE DOUBLE DIAMOND CUT CECKERING NOT PRESSED walnut stock with metal buttplate associated with Remington’s deluxe line, along with a hinged floorplate magazine system.
Metal components are finished in blued steel, paired with a polished wood stock incorporating a Monte Carlo comb and contrasting black fore-end tip. The heavy barrel profile is intended to reduce vibration and maintain point-of-impact consistency. This rifle is used, showing indications consistent with prior handling and use appropriate for its age. All identifying marks, including model and caliber designations, are present on the barrel and receiver. it has also been upgraded with a bedded Talley 20 MOA picatinny rail with anti-cant level bubble. The trigger has also been upgraded to a newer Remington OEM X mark pro adjustable trigger.
