Civilian holster from the Old West era and the Roaring 20s. This classic holster with embossed pattern is most attractive and one of the (nicest condition) antique holsters I have ever offered. This holster was a popular civilian style of the era. Double loop style with its typical sewn closed toe. Made of medium weight russet colored leather, with pressed design on the main pouch. This holster could be worn as right hand draw or cross draw. It fits a Colt New Service, Big frame Smith & Wesson's, Merwin & Hulbert and the Big Belgium Smith copies, as well as the Colt 1873, Colt Bisley, the 1875 & 90 Remingtons, with up to a 7 1/2 inch barrel perfectly. The leather is fully alive, soft and pliable. It would be perfect for displaying with your original vintage "BIG" frame pistolas, or you could just use it to pack one. All the stitches are strong and intact as the day it was made. A very nice, near seldom seen holster for a BIG FRAME as in this case it holds my old Colt SAA 7 1/2”. This Vintage leather holster was offered by BIFFAR CHICAGO. Fred Biffar was, recognized for his Chicago-based business and was a retailer in sporting goods. This holster is in very good condition no breaks or tears. Nice for the collector to show off his vintage six gun. To find one in “this condition" is a near impossibility. There are no loose or missing stitching. My Old six shooters and other Items are not included SOLD |
