Description:
The Smith & Wesson Model 442 Ultimate Carry (UC) is a performance-tuned, distributor-exclusive (Lipsey's) version of the classic Airweight J-frame. Designed for high-performance concealed carry, it addresses common snub-nose limitations with factory-upgraded sights, a refined trigger, and enhanced ergonomics. The UC features a green tritium XS Sights front night sight paired with a dovetailed, black serrated U-notch rear sight for rapid acquisition in all lighting conditions. These specialized G10 grips feature a "High Horn" profile that covers the backstrap to lower the bore axis and reduce felt recoil of the hand. The internal geometry and springs are optimized for a lighter, smoother trigger pull. It also includes titanium pins for increased durability during extensive firing. Beveled cylinder entries facilitate faster reloads using speed loaders or strips. The front edge of the cylinder is beveled to allow for smoother holstering. Highly preferred by defensive enthusiasts, this model lacks the standard side-plate locking mechanism. The enclosed hammer ensures a snag-free draw from pockets, purses, or holsters. .38 Special + P
