This Ruger AR-556 stands out with its 16 inch cold hammer-forged 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel, 1:8 twist, and 1/2-28 threaded muzzle capped with the Ruger birdcage flash suppressor. It features forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers with Type III hard-coat anodizing and a flat-top Picatinny upper with forward assist, shell deflector, and ejection-port cover. Built in 2016 and rollmarked \"RUGER MAYODAN, NC USA\" with serial prefix 852-, it includes Ruger Rapid Deploy rear sight and a pinned A2-style front sight base.
The carbine-length gas system, M4-style 6-position Magpul adjustable stock, and Ruger-branded polymer grip make this a practical, well-equipped AR-platform carbine. The rifle does not come with a case or magazines. Overall condition, bore, and rifling are all rated Excellent.

The 16 inch barrel is cold hammer-forged from 4140 chrome-moly steel and cut to a medium contour. It is marked \"5.56 NATO 1-8\" and threaded 1/2-28, with the factory Ruger birdcage flash suppressor installed.
Sighting is classic and practical: a fixed A2-style pinned front sight base with integral sling loop pairs with the Ruger Rapid Deploy spring-loaded flip-up rear sight. The flat-top Picatinny upper provides a continuous mounting surface.
The receivers are forged 7075-T6 aluminum with Type III hard-coat anodizing. The upper includes a forward assist, shell deflector, and ejection-port cover. The carbine-length gas system is paired with round, two-piece ribbed polymer handguards featuring the Ruger medallion and a twist-type delta ring.
The stock is a Magpul 6-position M4-style adjustable synthetic unit with an approximate length of pull range from 10 inches to 13.25 inches. A Ruger-branded polymer pistol grip completes the control layout.
