Merkel 303E 12 gauge. Serial 56523 has 28-inch barrels (fixed chokes unmarked and show IC/F on plunger gauge, solid rib, 2.75-inch, ejectors). Features include hand-detachable sidelocks, automatic safety, cocking indicators, single mechanical trigger with selector and a two-piece forearm. Engraving is full coverage over the action. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 7.4 pounds and the length-of-pull is 14.65 inches. CONDITION: Bores are bright and barrels on face. Mechanics operate properly. Bead is missing. Butt has been replaced and has a repaired crack at wrist. Metal finishes are at least 85 percent. The price is firm and layaway is available. $3,000 plus shipping.
