The Harrington & Richardson (H&R) Model 999, also known as the Sportsman, is a classic top-break, double-action revolver chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Produced in various forms from the 1930s until H&R closed its doors in 1986 (and briefly again in the early 90s), the Model 999 is highly regarded by collectors and shooters for its unique "Sportsman" styling and effortless ejection system. Recognized by its ventilated rib barrel, a large "target" style hammer spur, and typically checkered walnut grips.
