It features a Cerakote® coating on the barrel, muzzle brake, receiver, and bolt handle to leave them durable and easy to maintain. The intuitive 3-position tang safety locks the bolt to stop it from accidentally opening while allowing for reloads with the safety engaged. The barrel is cold hammer-forged to boost its accuracy and longevity. Ruger's patented Power Bedding™ integral bedding-block system positively locates the receiver and free-floats the barrel, improving accuracy further. This model features a spiral-fluted barrel, which reduces the rifle's weight and dissipates heat faster. Ruger's Marksman Adjustable™ trigger has a crisp release and an adjustable pull weight from 3–5 lbs. A Picatinny rail allows for optic mounting.
