Description:
This sale offers a very good condition 20 ga. sidelock manufactured and proved in Belgium. I seems the gun was produced for and shipped to a Parisian retailer. The rib is marked “C. Mode Armurier Bte. A Paris”. C. Mode is likely the name of the dealer, Armurier is translated gunsmith or arms dealer, Bte. A is the address as in Box A, and Paris is, of course, the city where the business operated.
The gun is equipped with 27 ½” barrels with ejectors, carved fences,
2 ½´chambers and choked cylinder and cylinder. It has beautifully figured walnut stock with an English style straight grip. Overall, the gun is in very good condition with minor scratches on the lock plates and breech end of the barrels that can be seen in the pictures. The very shootable dimensions are listed below.
