Description:
The Marlin 336 RC is a lever-action rifle chambered in .35 Remington and fitted with a 20-inch JM-stamped barrel. Manufactured in 1958, this configuration features Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling system. The rifle carries a blued steel finish with a smooth walnut pistol-grip stock and matching forearm. A black checkered Marlin buttplate is installed, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The rifle’s serial number is R24528, qualifying it as a Curio & Relic (C&R) firearm.
Iron sights include an adjustable rear sight paired with a hooded front post. The lever-action mechanism is designed for tubular magazine feeding and is configured for right-hand operation. The bore condition is described as very good, with strong rifling and a bright interior. The rifle is used and shows the standard features associated with Marlin’s late-1950s production, including a solid-top receiver and side ejection.
Included is the complete rifle as configured with its original stock furniture and buttplate. No additional accessories, magazines, or packaging are specified. The firearm’s condition and configuration reflect its 1958 manufacture, with the JM barrel marking confirming original Marlin production prior to the Remington acquisition period.
