The Smith & Wesson 915 is a semi-automatic, double-action/single-action pistol chambered in 9mm Luger. It was introduced in 1988 as part of S&W’s 9mm 3rd-generation series, intended to compete with the popular Beretta 92 series and other service pistols.
The 915 was designed for law enforcement and civilian defense, combining traditional S&W quality with a modern semi-automatic layout. It shares features with the S&W 459, but with some refinements, including improved ergonomics and slide design. However, production was relatively short-lived (1988–1991), making it a collector’s piece today.
