The Walther P99 AS (“Anti-Stress" trigger) is a semi-automatic, striker-fired pistol introduced in the late 1990s as part of Walther’s P99 line. It is widely used by law enforcement and military units worldwide, and also popular among civilians for self-defense and recreational shooting.
The “AS" variant features the Anti-Stress trigger system, which has a long, heavy first trigger pull for safe carrying and a lighter, short reset for subsequent shots. This design allows the pistol to be safely carried with a chambered round while maintaining a smooth, controlled trigger for accurate shooting.
