"Serial no. 380303. Manufactured circa 1920 by Rock Island Arsenal, chambered in .30-06 Springfield,24"" round barrel marked “RIA/Flaming Bomb/12-18." The bore is good with some scattered oxidation noted while the rifling remains visible. The rifle shows honest service wear and remains in overall very good condition. Rock Island Model 1903 rifles represent an important part of early U.S. service rifle production, with many seeing continued use and refurbishment into the interwar period. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
