Description:
"NSN. Manufactured in 1845 by Manufacture d'Armes de Saint-Étienne,chambered in .69 caliber,40 ½"" round rifled barrel. The barrel and metal components remain in the bright, having been cleaned at some point, with factory markings still sharp and clearly legible. The stock is very good with a light coat of linseed oil applied and a visible cartouche on the right side, adding to its inspection character. Overall the musket presents well with a clean, maintained appearance. The action holds at both half and full cock, remaining mechanically functional. The musket is accompanied by a socket bayonet. Many of these were later exported during the Civil War.
