Description:
"Serial no. 296643. Manufactured in 1907 by Springfield Armory, chambered in .30-06 Springfield,24"" round barrel marked “R.I.A./Flaming Bomb/3-18." The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The rifle was reissued for WWII service, as indicated by the later Rock Island Arsenal barrel and a faint cartouche visible on the left side of the stock. The stock shows light surface handling impressions while remaining in very good condition. This example reflects the continued use and refurbishment of early Model 1903 rifles during the interwar and WWII periods. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
