"Serial no. 3541724. Manufactured circa mid-1943 by Saginaw Steering Gear Division,chambered in .30 Carbine,18"" round barrel marked “UNDERWOOD/Flaming Bomb." The bore is bright with light frosting noted while the rifling remains strong and well-defined. The carbine has been upgraded with typical post-war features including a bayonet lug, flip safety, and adjustable rear sight, reflecting arsenal updates during continued service life. The rifle shows honest handling and usage wear, with some surface oxidation present. The left side of the wrist features custom line engraving. Saginaw-produced carbines are of particular collector interest due to their unique production history under General Motors. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly. The carbine is accompanied by an oiler and sling.
