A rare and magnificent find for the dedicated long-range shooter, this custom rifle is the handiwork of Robert Hart of the legendary R.W. Hart & Son in Nescopeck, Pennsylvania. Hart is globally recognized for producing some of the finest, record-setting benchrest barrels and custom rifles in the world. Built upon a blueprinted and meticulously trued Remington 700 long action, this rifle is an absolute laser beam designed for extreme accuracy.
This custom build is chambered in the proprietary .30 Hart—a wildly efficient and powerful wildcat cartridge created by necking and blowing out a .300 Weatherby Magnum case to an improved shoulder angle. Designed for unmatched long-range ballistics, this caliber requires a handloader’s touch, making this a true aficionado’s rifle. Topped with a high-magnification Leupold Vari-X III optic, this package is ready to dominate at the 1,000-yard line or across the widest hunting canyons.

Condition Report
This custom Hart rifle has been treated with the utmost respect, seeing range time only for load development and precision shooting, and presents in fantastic mechanical and cosmetic condition.
- Finish: Retains 100% of its custom finish. The matte blued receiver is deep and even, with only minor finish wear on the bolt knob from cycling. The stainless barrel is remarkably clean, showing only light, superficial scuffs typical of resting in a rifle cradle or sandbags.
- Bore: Pristine. The premium hand-lapped Hart barrel remains brilliantly bright with razor-sharp rifling. It has been meticulously cleaned to protect the throat and maintain benchrest-level accuracy.
- Stock: The custom synthetic stock is in excellent shape. There are no cracks or structural issues.
- Mechanics: The action is glass-smooth—a testament to Hart’s blueprinting process. Lockup is incredibly solid. The match trigger is extremely light and crisp; please exercise proper trigger discipline, as this is a precision target trigger.
- Optic: The Leupold Vari-X III is in superb condition. The glass is crystal clear, the adjustable objective ring turns smoothly, and the tall target turrets track perfectly with distinct, audible clicks.
