Description:
A 1971 (JM) Marlin 39D in 22 S/L./LR with a 20" barrel. This example is a "71" prefix that was manufactured in 1971. The serial number is "71 93328". The top of the 20" round barrel is marked "The Marlin Firearms Co. North Haven. Conn. U.S.A. / MICRO-GROOVE BARREL", and "MODEL 39-D" with "JM" in an oval at the rear of the right side. The front sight is a beaded blade, dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a "U" notched leaf and elevator assembly, which is dovetailed onto the barrel. The stock set is a two piece smooth walnut with a banded forearm, caped pistol grip, straight comb, checkered black hard rubber Marlin buttplate. The Marlin "bullseye" remains intact . This Marlin remains in great condition, but does have a few minor storage marks in the stock set. No box. .22 Short/Long/Long Rifle

Metal Condition: The metal surfaces shows light operation wear on the moving surfaces and some fine handling wear. Overall condition rates about 97% or better.
Wood Condition: A coulpe light nicks and scaps in the forend. The stock shows a cople light drag lines. About 97% remaining.
Bore Condition: Bright bore with very strong micro groove rifling.
Barrels: 20" barrel.
Triggers: Single.
Fore End: Smooth wood.
Butt Pad: Hard rubber.
Sights: Adjustable.
