This Colt AR-15 is built around a direct impingement action and a flattop style upper that includes a brass deflector, forward assist, and ejection-port cover. With a Picatinny flat upper paired with an A-frame front sight base (Stamped C99R12) with sling swivel.
The 16-inch barrel is chambered in 5.56mm NATO (.223 Rem.) and uses a 1:9 twist. It is marked \"C MP 5.56 NATO 1/9 HBAR\" and is fitted with a slotted birdcage-style flash suppressor. Barrel is also stamped with manufacture date of \"4/00\".
