This configuration is most commonly found in the CDL (Classic Deluxe) lines, balancing the high velocity of the 7mm Mag with a carry friendly weight. The 7mm Remington Magnum is famous for its "belted" case and high-energy delivery. In a 24" barrel, it provides a very flat trajectory that is effective for elk, mule deer, and sheep at distances exceeding 400 yards, while producing noticeably less felt recoil than the .300 Win Mag. 7mm Remington Magnum
