Description: The Bern K11 (Karabiner 1911) is the carbine version of the Schmidt-Rubin system, produced by Waffenfabrik Bern for the Swiss military. While the full-sized 1911 rifle has a 30" barrel, the K11 features a 23.3" to 23.5" barrel, making it a much handier and more popular choice for modern shooters. Straight-pull bolt-action. Instead of a traditional turn-bolt, the shooter pulls the handle directly back and pushes it forward, allowing for extremely rapid fire. Known for "watchmaker" levels of machining and fit. The barrels are exceptionally high quality, often retaining excellent rifling even after decades of service. The K11 was the standard-issue carbine for cavalry, artillery, and non-infantry troops until it was replaced by the famous K31 in the 1930s. 7.5x55mm SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Chambers: Bolt Action Metal Condition: Good Condition Relative to Age with Considerable Handling Wear Wood Condition: Good Condition Relative to Age with Considerable Handling Wear Barrels: 23.5" Barrel with Protective Cap on Muzzle & Front Sight Triggers: Factory Stock Dimensions: 12 1/2" LOP Butt Pad: Metal Butt Plate Weight: 8.5 lbs Sights: "Adjustable Wind Drift Bladed Front Sight with Tangent Rear Sight Graduated from 300 to 1,500 meters.
