This specific 1955 example is a rare collector’s find, featuring the original full-length police-style wood stock with a heavy steel nose cap and a straight English grip. Unlike many surplus examples, this unit has been professionally proofed and chambered for standard 2 ½" 12-gauge shells, and it retains an exceptionally clean, bright bore that complements the authentic Birmingham Nitro Proof marks.
