Description:
Remington Model 30 Express Custom chambered in .35 Whelen Improved. This is a sporting rifle of the inter-war period based on the military P14/M1917 Enfield rifle action. This was the first high-powered bolt-action sporting rifle produced by Remington. The action is a modified Mauser design with dual front locking lugs and a rear safety lug. The strong and robust action was ideally suited to customize with powerful sporting cartridges. This rifle features a medium weight custom barrel and a beautiful, checkered stock with a silver grip cap and a checkered butt plated with a storage door. The .35 Whelen Improved is a powerful medium-bore rifle cartridge that is based on the .30-06 Springfield, which is necked-up to accept a bullet diameter of .358 in.
