I would like to offer this Winchester deluxe grade model 71- long tang rifle. Caliber 348 Winchester, Serial # 16404, made in 1940, long tang 24- inch barrel, and excellent bore. The beautiful model 71 pre-war rifle has a long tang plus exceptional condition. I am always amazed at the polish on the receivers on some of these pre-war models 71’s the receiver on the rifle is like a mirror. The bore is the same way. I think these pre-war model 71 rifles were the high-water mark of Winchester. I also think what you pay now for a rifle like this is the best bargain in the gun business. This rifle has a solid 99% condition on the metal. I do not see any marks on the metal. The wood is also 99% with a couple small dings. The rifle is all original with barrel sights which were optional. Also, the receiver is factory drilled for a receiver sight if a person wishes to install one. The first place I look at on a model 71 is the butt plate. The bluey on the butt plate is excellent.

The firearm may be returned for any reason, buy the buyer must notify the seller within three (3) calendar day inspection period.
The buyer must start the return within the next four (4) calendar days to receive a complete refund, less all shipping, transaction fees and FFL charges. On a return, the buyer must not remove the firearm from the FFL premises without approval of the seller. Once the firearm has been received by the seller and inspected, a prompt refund will be issued. Shipping must start within one week of receipt of the item. The return shipping must be of equal shipping level, including insurance. The return item MUST be in the same condition as when shipped to the buyer. This is an inspection period only, a gun is not to be fired or disassembled. Sellers written permission is required to allow the buyer to take down a takedown model during the inspection period. Upon the receipt and inspection of the returned gun, the seller agrees to issue a prompt refund.
