I am offering this Sako Forester model 579 rifle in 308 Winchester Caliber. Caliber 308 Winchester, Serial # 92537, Made pre-1964, and 23-inch barrel. This rifle was made in the early 1960’s when Sako still made their own stocks. (Pre Garcia) it has excellent condition. It is a beautiful light weight rifle. It is all original and has the old Sako high quality when they made their own stocks. I have owned this rifle for more than 50 years. I fired about 10 rounds through it. The metal is 99% of new and the wood is 96% with some very small fracking marks on the stock. There is a short hair-lined crack in the finish about ½ inch long at the butt plate – the crack is not in the wood.

Return Policy: All firearms come with a 3 day non firing, no tinkering with (turning screws, taking apart, removing parts, scoping, firing, cleaning or altering in any way)
The firearm may be returned for any reason, buy the buyer must notify the seller within three (3) calendar day inspection period.
The buyer must start the return within the next four (4) calendar days to receive a complete refund, less all shipping, transaction fees and FFL charges. On a return, the buyer must not remove the firearm from the FFL premises without approval of the seller. Once the firearm has been received by the seller and inspected, a prompt refund will be issued. Shipping must start within one week of receipt of the item. The return shipping must be of equal shipping level, including insurance. The return item MUST be in the same condition as when shipped to the buyer. This is an inspection period only, a gun is not to be fired or disassembled. Sellers written permission is required to allow the buyer to take down a takedown model during the inspection period. Upon the receipt and inspection of the returned gun, the seller agrees to issue a prompt refund.
