I Ugartechea has long been recognized among premier Spanish gunmakers for producing traditional, well-crafted side-by-side shotguns. This classic 1950 sidelock model exemplifies the elegant design and reliable manufacturing expected from mid-century European upland firearms. Designed as a light and handy Spanish side-by-side by I Ugartechea, this 12-gauge field gun is fitted with 25 ¼-inch barrels, 2 ¾-inch chambers, and a solid tapered rib. The shotgun presents in very good vintage condition, featuring a traditional straight English wood stock with a 14 ¼-inch length of pull, double triggers, and automatic ejectors. Mechanically, the action locks up tight and shoulders naturally, utilizing fixed Improved Cylinder chokes in both the left and right barrels. Weighing just 6 pounds 9.9 ounces with an overall length of 41 ½ inches, this Curio & Relic eligible firearm is perfectly configured for long days in the field.
