PRICE REDUCTION Greener Exposede Hammer 12 Gauge Shotgun with Damascus Barrels. This gun with side opening lever was first offered around 1868. Excellent condition for it's age with up gradded wood. The hammers cock TIGHT! The barrels lock up TIGHT when closed as well. Greener's are made in England and their quality of workmanship is evident in this gun! I originaly purchsed the gun because it resembled a gun John Wayne used to shoot phesants in the movie Mc Clintock. John Wayne mentioned Greener's in two other movies. Big Jake and Cahill U.S. Marshall. L.C. Smith's and Ithaca's were made in the late 18'00's. Colt, A. H. Fox and Winchester 21's came along in the 1900's (to the best of my limited knowledge). Like all early shotguns they did not have 2 3/4 chambers. I beleive this one has 2 1/2 chambers but again, a quality gun smith needs to check it. NOTE!!! Jess Briley can line danascus barrels with smaller gauges with a 2 1/2 inch chambers!!! The fore end is attached with a cross bolt to the barrells!!! The cross bolt is limited in its travel so as not to be easily lost. A trully fine old gun. The original leather case has the name Lynch Blosse on it. I checked and theire was a Major Henry Lynch Blosse in the Irish Guards. His Sur Name was Double Barrel. I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WAS ONE OF HIS GUNS BUT THAT NAME COME UP IN MY RESEARCH.
