Description:
The Deutsche Werke Ortgies in 7.65mm (.32 ACP) is a striker-fired, semi-automatic pocket pistol produced in Germany between 1919 and 1924. Originally designed by Heinrich Ortgies and later manufactured on a massive scale by the state-owned Deutsche Werke AG in Erfurt, it was renowned for its high build quality, smooth "snag-free" exterior, and advanced safety features. The pistol is famously constructed with almost no screws; even the wooden grips are typically secured by an internal spring-loaded latch located inside the magazine well. Because production was relatively short but high-volume, these pistols are frequently found today in the collector's market. Many were brought back to the U.S. by veterans following World War II. 7.65MM (.32 ACP)
