Description:
The model 1917 saw far more service in WW1 than the Springfield 1903 did. The Eddystone model was manufactured in the same factory that was producing the Baldwin Steam Locomotives alongside the Delaware River in PA during the same time period. The 1917 was easier for many new soldiers to use with the peep sight configuration. This rifle is in very good condition with the stock having never been refinished. Cartouches are very clear and only has some minor handling marks on the wood beyond that. .30-06 Springfield
