Description:
The Baker Gun Co. 1897 is a 12-gauge side-by-side hammer shotgun featuring 32-inch solid rib Damascus barrels. It is configured with double triggers and a front bead sight. The shotgun has a checkered wood stock with a Prince of Wales pistol grip and matching forearm, both fitted with the factory butt plate. Overall length measures approximately 48 inches, and the length of pull is 14 inches. The serial number is 36051, consistent with production from the late 19th century.

Barrels are constructed of patterned Damascus steel typical of the period, and the bores are described as good with visible shine. The external hammers and locks exhibit the design features associated with Baker’s early hammer doubles. This shotgun is used and retains the mechanical configuration of its original design, including a functioning extractor system. The action remains consistent with the solid rib construction and period craftsmanship of the 1897 model.

Included components consist of the complete shotgun with both barrels, forearm, and buttstock as described. No additional accessories or packaging are specified. The firearm’s overall configuration and matching components reflect its antique manufacture and design as a Baker Gun Co. 12-gauge side-by-side from 1897.
