Outstanding and very rare Model 70 Super Grade FEATHERWEIGHT in 243 Caliber.
This is the rarest style of ANY Model 70 ever produced, with a grand total of only 930 made in just 4 cataloged calibers. (.308, .270, .243, 30-06). This is the .243 Win. caliber which accounted for 260 of that number.
An amazing rifle with all the right "stuff" that is guaranteed to be 100% genuine in every regard.
S/N 324545 with a matching scribed bolt made in 1955.
97-98% condition throughout, with the fragile aluminum components of floor plate and butt plate showing a bit of reasonable wear, and some overall slight thinning of the barrel blue.
Has the correct SUPER underbarrel stamping, along with the unique backward S stamp on recoil lug.
22" rust blued barrel, all factory jeweled action components, Redfield 255 front sight, etc.
