About This Gun
This is Cimarron's historically faithful reproduction of the iconic 1878 Colt-pattern coach gun — the same scatter-gun that rode atop stagecoaches and kept order on the American frontier. Cimarron based this model on an original in their own collection, and it shows in every detail of the fit and finish.
Less than two dozen rounds have been fired through this gun — she was taken out once, run lightly, cleaned thoroughly, and put back in the box. The blued barrels show zero ring wear, the walnut stock carries no dings, scratches, or handling marks, and the action is tight with no looseness whatsoever. Both hammers snap crisply. If you didn't know better, you'd swear this was unfired.
The 20-inch blued barrels handle both 2¾" and 3" shotshells, from target loads to 00 buckshot. The exposed sidehammers, double triggers, pistol grip stock, and schnabble forearm deliver the full period-correct Western aesthetic without sacrificing an ounce of function. SASS / Cowboy Action legal. Equally capable as a serious home defense tool or the crown jewel of a Western collection.
