Description:
The Marlin 336SS is the"All-Weather" stainless steel variant of the classic Model 336 lever-action rifle. Chambered in .30-30 Winchester with a 20-inch barrel, it is highly favored by hunters in humid or coastal environments due to its superior corrosion resistance and rugged durability. All major metal components including the receiver, barrel, lever, and trigger are made from 416-grade stainless steel with a brushed satin finish. High grade American Black Walnut stock featuring a pistol grip, sharp checkering, and a rubber buttpad for recoil management. Unlike top-ejecting rifles, the 336SS ejects spent casings out the side, allowing for low-profile scope mounting directly to the receiver. Since Ruger took over Marlin production, the 336SS (often listed as the 336 Classic Stainless) has benefited from improved manufacturing. Receivers and levers are CNC-machined for smoother action out of the box. Laser cut checkering provides a more consistent and functional grip on the walnut furniture.
