"Serial no. A9697. Manufactured circa 1895 by Ludwig Loewe & Company, chambered in 7x57mm,29 ½"" round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The rifle remains in overall excellent condition with a handsome Chilean crest present on the receiver. The stock displays a sharp and well-defined 1895-dated cartouche, further enhancing its collector appeal. The Model 1895 Mauser represents one of the earliest successful small-ring Mauser designs adopted for smokeless powder cartridges, known for its smooth action and reliability. The action is exceptionally smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly. Overall, this is a superb example that would be difficult to improve upon.
