Antique Belgium 7mm Pin fire Revolver
Description: Belgian-made 7 MM Pin Fire Revolver with a 3 ½“ octagon barrel, 6-shot capacity, and folding trigger.
These revolvers were produced in Belgium in the mid to late 19th century and were popular among both civilians and law enforcement. Pinfire revolvers were named for the unique pin-shaped firing mechanism they used, which was loaded with a pin-shaped firing pin that struck the cartridge primer.
Condition: 3 ½” nice bright bore with some minor pitting and still showing strong rifling. Original blue finish has faded and turned to a nice antique gun-metal grey with spots of brown patina starting to form, showing some fine oxidation staining, and a few pin-prick pits mostly on the barrel. Equipted with a Loading gate, folding trigger and front steel post sight.
Original smooth Walnut grips rate in excellent condition with minor dings and handling marks. Showing some small faint Liege proof marks on the cylinder. Revolver has a tight lock-up. Mechanically works very well in single double action with very good timing. This is one of the better condition revolvers of this type . Please judge the condition form the text and photos.
