Forged in Cugir and stamped with a 1983 trunnion date, this GP WASR-10 represents one of the earliest Romanian military-parts builds imported to the U.S. A chrome-lined, cold-hammer-forged barrel, original solid hardwood furniture with palm-swell lower handguard, and intact bayonet lug keep the rifle true to its PM md.63 roots, while the left-side optics rail and 922(r)-compliant fire-control group make it ready for modern range use. Chambered in the universally available 7.62×39, this full-size AKM platform delivers the rugged simplicity collectors expect—along with the specific history only a trunnion-dated 1983 example can provide.
In good condition, rifle shows finish wear from honest use and handling. Minor rust spots are present but do not impede function. The stamped receiver’s welded spacer plates are intact, and the left-side optics rail is secure.
